This is a power ranking so I get to keep USC here, (bias) but there is a VERY good argument for UW as number 1 right now.

2 (+2)

RIP Michigan State (Jesus Christ, UDub)

Tier: Foot in the door
3 (+4)

The Ducks are probably underrated now, and that's crazy to say.

4 (+2)

Possibly the scariest team in the Pacific Northwest. SDSU may have scored 9, but I still gotta give a lot of credit to Oregon State's play. They have great defense and a good run game and are scary across the board. Corvallis is a graveyard, and this year, the Beavs are reaping.

5 (-3)

Let up more points than I would want to give to an FCS school, but a 40 point win is a 40 point win, no matter what.

6 (-1)

Utah needs Cam Rising to be back to make me happy. They won as they were supposed to though, so good for them.

Tier: Still Good
7 (+1)

Chip Kelly wins a clean one. I do not think they win at Utah on Saturday. If they do, they'll skyrocket into the upper half of the conference with ease.

8 (-5)

RIP Travis Hunter, dude did not deserve that. Letting CSU play that close BEFORE that hit was unacceptable, and certainly after. CSU is not supposed to be good this year, and anyone claiming otherwise is doing some good ol' revisionist history: Colorado State was supposed to be 9th in the Mountain West, only above Hawaii (bad), New Mexico (bad), and Nevada (really bad). Colorado fans should be thrilled that the season has gone as well as it has so far, but try and return to pre-season hype levels: high, but not extremely high hype.

Tier: Middling

Arizona is actually pretty decent I think, and their defense is much improved. I am a little uncomfortable with their QB play, but whatever.

10 (0)

Is Cal good? No. Are they utterly terrible? Surprisingly, also no.

Tier: Really Bad
11 (+1)

So, that's awkward. Awarded 11th due to the silliness of ASU's loss.

12 (-1)
  1. Turnovers. EIGHT.

Seems like all the games went as they were supposed to, except those that went surprisingly wrong (hi Stanford and Arizona). Colorado was an unpleasant surprise, and I am quite sad we won't see a healthy CU play either Oregon or USC.
